It's fascinating how such a small, seemingly insignificant event can trigger a chain of contemplation about weighty global issues. Welcome to the IDC Podcast. This is Aleko and I hope you're doing well. So it's been a little while since I have posted. Melanie and I took a vacation to go see family in Greece. I saw my brother, who lives in Athens, and then we went to our ancestral islands, the Ionian Islands, and we got to visit Corfu and it was absolutely beautiful. It's my first time going there. And then we went to see Melanie's family, who live in England, just north of London. So it's been a fantastic vacation. And then I got back to a flurry of work and it's been quite busy. I'm very glad to be able to sit down and just record a little bit here in this preview podcast to discuss some of the things coming up.

So while we were in England, I was on a bit of a mission. We lived with my in-laws for several months as we were taking a break, transitioning between Asia For those who don't know, I lived in Asia for 10 years and moving back to the States, and so we were there for several months just kind of exploring and using their home as a base, and I left my ring my favorite ring in one of the bedrooms and I knew I was going to find it when I got there and it was a very special ring because it was a birthday gift from several years back and it was handmade in Israel. So we came back and I searched for the ring. I knew it was lost somewhere and I had this inclination that it was under the bed somewhere. And sure enough, I looked under the bed that we had stayed on and it was there and I was so happy that I found it and it was really really exciting news. And this ring from Israel that was handmade and had this really ornate design of the Ten Commandments on it, I thought it was absolutely beautiful and not that expensive. It wasn't. I don't really like lavish things like gold or whatever, it's just silver but beautifully designed. But lo and behold, I found my beautiful prize from Israel and then, within a day or two of finding it might have even been that day Israel was viciously attacked by Hamas, as I'm sure many people know.

It certainly has been very harrowing news coming out of the Middle East, everything that's going on. I mean there's no shortage of conversations one could have about the current situation of Israel and Palestine, so much so that it seems frivolous to talk about anything else. I mean I had a whole list of things that I wanted to get into simulation theory, the case for Exodus, demons, you know just a number of different episodes that I really wanted to cover, diving back into science a little bit, and it seems that there are more pressing issues. I mean with China and Russia creating provocations toward the West, the Al Aqsa Mosque raising the black flag as a sign of intimidation to the Jews, and the potential for civil war within Israel, with the Muslims who have been generously allowed to live there and the Jews, which could of course, potentially lead to the destruction of the Al Aqsa Mosque and the potential rebuilding of the prophetic Third Temple. So there's a number of things I want to talk about in the upcoming podcast which I intend to record in a few days. Here. The main thing is the I suppose you would call it the ownership of the Temple Mount and to the potential Third Temple, which I think is a very fascinating topic and very poignant and relevant at this point.

And I'm also going to read some of these stuff from the book club. We had actually planned on doing the book club while I was in Greece. I thought it could be kind of fun seeing as Hillary and Brian are in the UK but it didn't quite pan out. But they did record their answers and I intend to play some of their recordings and maybe discuss. I believe it's chapter three no, sorry, it's four, five, six of Dr Richard Gallagher's demonic foes. So I'll be reading their, or playing their, answers and maybe discussing some of mine.
